Focus and Scope

Philosophica: Jurnal Bahasa, Sastra, dan Budaya is aimed at promoting a principled approach to research on literature, language, and culture by encouraging inquiry into the relationship between theoretical and practical studies. The journal accepts submissions concerned with language current study in:

  • discourse analysis;
  • linguistics;
  • applied linguistics;
  • literature;
  • cultural studies;
  • language education;
  • translation;
  • language teaching media;
  • language teaching model;
  • innovation in language teaching.

Peer Review Process

Peer Review Process

The journal employs a peer review process and promotes blind reviewing. The acceptance or rejection of articles will be decided by the editorial boards based on the review results supplied by the reviewers. There are no communications between authors and editors concerning the rejection decision. Before continuing to review process, all submitted manuscripts are going to be checked for any plagiarism practices by using "Turnitin and Grammarly" software. If there is an indication of plagiarism, the manuscript will instantly be rejected. Authors whose papers are rejected will be informed of the reasons for the rejection.

Publication Frequency

Since it was established in 2018, Philosophica: Jurnal Bahasa, Sastra, dan Budaya has been published two times annually in June and December. Each issue contains at least five articles.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. This journal does require both processing and publishing charges.

Ethical Guidelines for Journal Publication

The publication of an article in peer-reviewed journals published by the Faculty of Economics, Law, and Humanities, Universitas Ngudi Waluyo is the process of permanent knowledge improvement. It is a direct reflection of the quality of the work of the authors and the institutions that support them. Peer-reviewed articles support and embody the scientific method. It is therefore essential to agree upon standards of expected ethical behavior for all parties involved in the act of publishing: the author, the journal editor, the peer reviewer, the publisher, and the society of society-owned or sponsored journals.

Faculty of Economics, Law, and Humanities, Universitas Ngudi Waluyo takes their duties of guardianship over all stages of publishing extremely seriously and we recognize our ethical and other responsibilities.

We are committed to ensuring that advertising, reprint, or other commercial revenue has no impact or influence on editorial decisions. In addition, Editorial Board will assist in communications with other journals and/or publishers where this is useful to editors.

Philosophica: Jurnal Bahasa, Sastra, dan Budaya is published two times annually in June and December.
