ABSTRACT
Early childhood is a golden opportunity for parents to optimize the various potentials of their children. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of outdoor learning to improve children's basic movement skills. This study uses the research method used is Preexperimental Design with One Group Pretest-Post Test Design. The population in this study were PAUD students in Merauke District. Meanwhile, the sample in this study was a number of 20 students who were taken by purposive sampling. The instrument used in this study used TGMD (Test of Gross Motor Development). From the results, the researchers concluded that there was an increase in the ability of Basic Movement (Motoric) of Early Childhood by using outdoor learning treatment. This is also coupled with the results of the t test where the significance value is 0.000. This research can be a reference and benefit for children in ensuring maximum basic movement development. It is also important to ensure that children's age at this early stage is in line with their period of basic movement development and can contribute to their involvement in sport and their lives. Students may also be unfamiliar with some of the difficulties in certain tests. Children may feel less confident because they are afraid of making mistakes and being noticed by their teachers or coaches and thus indirectly bothering them to take the exam.
