Analysis of Pre-Writing Ability of 3-4 Year Old Children Through Messy Play Activities at KB Muslimat NU Wiradesa

This research aims to determine pre-writing skills through messy play of children in the Muslimat NU Wiradesa Play Group aged three to four years using a qualitative case study approach using Messy Play media. The case study approach method proposed by Creswell means investigating and understanding the problems that occur and collecting information to get a solution to the problem. This research uses observation methods, interviews with class teachers and documentation. The subjects of this research were four students at KB Muslimat NU Wiradesa for the 2023/2024 academic year. Apart from these four students, the subjects of this research were also the class teachers for KB Muslimat NU Wiradesa for the 2023/2024 academic year. Data was collected from observation sheets, field notes, and interview. The results of research to develop pre-writing skills through messy play with media from coconut dregs mixed with food coloring, so that it can motivate children to learn pre-writing in a fun way and achieve good development and develop according to expectations in pre-writing skills.
ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keterampilan pra menulis melalui messy play anak di Kelompok Bermain Muslimat NU Wiradesa usia tiga sampai empat tahun dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif pendekatan studi kasus dengan media Messy Play. Metode pendekatan studi kasus yang dikemukakan oleh Creswell memiliki arti menyelidiki dan memahami masalah yang terjadi dan mengumpulkan informasi untuk mendapatkan solusi dari masalah tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode observasi, wawancara terhadap guru kelas dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah empat murid di KB Muslimat NU Wiradesa tahun ajaran 2023/ 2024. Selain empat murid tersebut, subjek penelitian ini juga dilakukan pada guru kelas KB Muslimat NU Wiradesa tahun ajaran 2023/ 2024. Data dikumpulkan dari lembar pengamatan, catatan lapangan, dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian untuk mengembangkan keterampilan pra menulis melalui messy play dengan media dari ampas kelapa yang diberi pewarna makanan, agar dapat memotivasi anak untuk belajar pra menulis dengan menyenangkan dan adanya capaian perkembangan yang baik dan berkembang sesuai harapan dalam keterampilan pra menulis.
