This study aims to describe the perceptions of kindergarten (TK) teachers towards outdoor play activities in developing gross motor skills of early childhood in Sarolangun Regency. The study used a quantitative descriptive approach with an online survey method via Google Form. Respondents were 40 kindergarten teachers selected purposively. The instrument was a closed questionnaire consisting of 12 statements with a Likert scale of 1–5. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics to obtain the average score and perception category. The results showed that teachers' perceptions of outdoor play activities were in the very good category, with an overall average score of 4.47. The indicator with the highest score was the benefits of outdoor play activities (4.60), while the indicator with the lowest score was implementation obstacles (3.30). Teachers understood that outdoor play activities were effective in stimulating gross motor skills, such as body coordination, balance, and muscle strength in children. Despite facility and weather constraints, teachers still showed a positive attitude by modifying simple, contextual games. The results of this study confirm that positive teacher perceptions are an important factor in supporting the successful implementation of outdoor play in PAUD institutions. Institutional and policy support is needed to provide safe play facilities and teacher training so that outdoor play activities can be implemented optimally and sustainably.
