Increasing Mothers' Knowledge About Danger Signs of Pregnancy Using Interactive Mobile Messaging

Maternal mortality rate (MMR) in Indonesia is still relatively high when compared to other Southeast Asian countries. One of the government programs in reducing maternal mortality rate is the provision of the MCH Book to every pregnant woman which contains guidelines for the health of mothers and babies, but the lack of information of pregnant women about the danger signs of pregnancy which is an important factor in determining actions in handling pregnant women with danger signs, so it is very necessary to provide information about the danger signs of pregnant women through effective media. The purpose of the study was to determine the increase in maternal knowledge about pregnancy danger signs and the practice of early detection of pregnancy danger signs using interactive mobile messages. The research method was quashi experiment, using a pre-test-post test design approach and conducted at Ibu Alam Salatiga clinic, the sample in this study used purposive sampling technique by using the minimum sample requirement in experimental research which was 15 pregnant women. Data processing was carried out by testing the normality of the data with the results of abnormal data then processing the data using the Wilcoxon Test. The results of the study there is a difference in maternal knowledge about the danger signs of pregnancy before and after being given health education with interactive mobile messages with p 0.004. It is expected that pregnant women utilize all information related to pregnancy danger signs.
Abstrak
Jumlah AKI (Angka Kematian Ibu) di Indonesia masih tergolong tinggi jika dibandingkan dengan Negara Asia Tenggara lainnya. Salah Satu Program pemerintah dalam menurunkan AKI yaitu pemberian Buku KIA pada Setiap ibu hamil yang didalamnya sudah berisi pedoman untuk kesehatan ibu dan bayi, namun kurangnya informasi ibu hamil tentang tanda bahaya kehamilan yang merupakan faktor penting dalam menentukan tindakan dalam penanganan pada ibu hamil dengan tanda bahaya, sehingga sangat perlu diberikan informasi tentang tanda bahaya ibu hamil melalui media yang efektif. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui peningkatan pengetahuan ibu tentang tanda bahaya kehamilan dan praktik deteksi dini tanda bahaya kehamilan menggunakan pesan seluler interaktif. Metode penelitian quashi eksperimen, dengan menggunakan pendekatan pre test-post test design dan dilakukan di Klinik Ibu Alam Salatiga,Sampel dalam penelitian ini menggukan teknik purposive sampling dengan emnggunakan syarat minimal sampel pada penelitian exsperimen yaitu sehjulah 15 ibu hamil. Pengolahan data dilakukan dengan nenguji normalitas data dengan hasil data tidak normal selanjutnya pengolahan data menggunakan Uji Wilcoxon. Hasil penelitian ada perbedaan pengetahuan ibu tentang tanda bahaya kehamilan sebelum dan sesudah diberikan Pendidikan kesehatan dengan pesan selluler interaktif dengan p 0.004. Diharapkan ibu hamil memanfaatkan semua informasi terkait tanda bahaya kehamilan.
