Descriptive Study of Maternal Interaction in Raising Toddlers

The quality of a child's future is determined by optimal development and growth of the child, so that detection, stimulation and intervention for various causes of growth and development are carried out from an early age. Parents are expected to be able to prepare optimal child development as a whole so that children will have good adaptability in their environment, including the ability to overcome problems, self-regulate, organize their thoughts and behave well. The stimulation that parents provide must also refer to the child's development stage, of course by paying attention to individual differences and based on interactions in the environment around the child, the main principle of parenting in the child's development process that parents need to carry out, namely building good communication with the child. Parental knowledge will determine parental behavior in providing stimulation. This research aims to determine the description of maternal knowledge, interaction between mother and child and parenting behavior in child development. The method in this research is quantitative descriptive with a cross sectional design. The population in this study is mothers who have toddlers aged 0-36 months in Candirejo sub-district with a sample size of 40 respondents. The instrument used was the MABISC questionnaire. The results of this research are that the level of mother's knowledge about toddler development is good, mother and child interaction is good and parenting behavior is good.
Abstrak
Kualitas masa depan anak ditentukan oleh perkembangan dan pertumbuhan anak yang optimal, Sehingga deteksi, stimulasi dan intervensi berbagai penyimpanan pertumbuhan dan perkembangan dilakukan sejak dini. Orangtua diharapkan dapat mempersiapkan perkembangan anak yang optimal secara menyeluruh sehingga anak akan memiliki kemampuan beradaptasi yang baik di lingkungannya, diantaranya kemampuan dalam mengatasi masalah, regulasi diri, menata pikiran, dan berperilaku dengan baik. Stimulasi yang orangtua berikan juga harus mengacu pada tahap perkembangan anak, tentunya dengan memerhatikan perbedaan individu dan berbasis interaksi pada lingkungan sekitar anak, prinsip pokok pengasuhan dalam proses perkembangan anak yang perlu orangtua lakukan, yaitu membangun komunikasi yang baik dengan anak. Pengetahuan orang tua akan menentukan perilaku orang tua dalam memberikan stimulasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui gambaran pengetahuan ibu, interaksi ibu dan anak serta perilaku pengasuhan perkembangan anak. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitattif dengan desain cross sectional populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah ibu yang memiliki balita usia 0-36 bulan di kelurahan Candirejo dengan jumlah sampel 40 responden. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah kuesioner MABISC. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah tingkat Pengetahuan Ibu tentang perkembangan Balita baik, Interaksi Ibu Dan Anak baik dan Perilaku Pengasuhan Anak baik
