Adolescents undergo significant physical, psychological, and social changes, including the maturation of reproductive organs. However, these changes are often not accompanied by adequate knowledge of reproductive health. Low reproductive health literacy may increase the risk of engaging in risky sexual behaviors, unintended pregnancies, and sexually transmitted infections. This study aimed to describe reproductive health literacy among vocational high school students based on age, gender, and sources of information. This study employed a descriptive quantitative design with a cross-sectional approach. The study population consisted of 1,025 active students at SMK 17 Parakan Temanggung. A total of 288 respondents were selected using the Slovin formula and purposive sampling technique. Data were collected using the Reproductive Health Literacy Questionnaire (RHL-Q), consisting of 25 items. Data were analyzed using univariate analysis to determine frequency distributions and percentages. The results showed that 168 students (58.33%) had a good level of reproductive health literacy, while the remaining respondents were categorized as having moderate or low literacy levels. These findings indicate that most students have a relatively good ability to access, understand, evaluate, and apply reproductive health information. In conclusion, the majority of vocational high school students demonstrated a good level of reproductive health literacy. Nevertheless, continuous efforts to strengthen reproductive health education through schools, healthcare professionals, and family support are necessary to enhance adolescents’ ability to make informed reproductive health decisions and to support effective health promotion initiatives.
