It investigates how the characters navigate these stages against the backdrop of societal forces and personal goals. As the characters discover a precious pearl, their journey mirrors Erikson's stages, from trust to mistrust to integrity to despair. Each stage is characterized by conflicts and obstacles that develop characters’ personalities and interactions. This study uses qualitative analysis to explore the significant psychosocial processes represented in "The Pearl," resulting insights into psychosocial characters’ development and the complexity of their progress in a social context.</span></p> Aziiz Putrayuda, Thohiriyah Copyright (c) 2024 Aziiz Putrayuda, Thohiriyah http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://jurnal.unw.ac.id/index.php/philosophica/article/view/3166 Wed, 12 Jun 2024 00:00:00 +0000 THE VALUE OF RELIGIOSITY IN SERAT WIRID HIDAYAT JATI BY RADEN NGABEHI RANGGAWARSITA https://jurnal.unw.ac.id/index.php/philosophica/article/view/1591 This paper examines the values of Religiosity in Serat Wirid Hidayat Jati by Raden Ngabehi Ranggawarsita. Utilizing a qualitative approach and Althusser’s theory of Ideological State Apparatuses (ISAs), the researchers delve into Puzo’s intricately woven narrative, highlighting the inherent tension arising from the collision of different values, traditions, and beliefs. The main focus is on the discord experienced by characters from diverse cultural backgrounds. In line with the ideological framework, this study found that a dominant ideology often subjugates other beliefs. Through comprehensive analysis, the researchers discovered that these conflicting beliefs significantly shape the characters’ societal perspectives. This research provides valuable insights into intercultural marriages, emphasizing the universal challenges presented in the novel that stem from negotiating differing beliefs within family and society.</p> Rizqi Ardianto, Zuhrul Anam Copyright (c) 2024 Rizqi Ardianto, Zuhrul Anam http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://jurnal.unw.ac.id/index.php/philosophica/article/view/3144 Mon, 24 Jun 2024 00:00:00 +0000 The PROCESS OF SELF ACCEPTANCE AFTER GRIEVING IN MICHELLE ZAUNER'S CRYING IN H MART https://jurnal.unw.ac.id/index.php/philosophica/article/view/3164 <p>This study delves into the intricate and emotionally charged exploration of grief and acceptance in Michelle Zauner's literary work, "Crying in H Mart." The narrative revolves around Zauner's deeply personal journey through loss, primarily centred around the death of her mother. Zauner's narrative unfolds in a series of stages, each marked by its own set of emotions and self-acceptance. The analysis of the literary work involves library research and close-reading approaches.
