Discourse analysis perform an approach of an analysis connected to language pattern of a text used in the analysis, it require linguistic competence and deixis is one of them. According to Levinson (1983), deixis devided into person deixis, place deixis, time deixis, social deixis and discourse deixis. This research aims to find all types of deixis used and the effect produced by social deixis in the conversation script of Pirates of The Caribbean: At World’s End between all the character in the movie. The research was done using descriptive qualitative method. The data were collected from downloading the script trough a website related to the production of Pirates Caribbean movie. Then the data were classified and elaborated using Levinson five types of deixis theory and relational-absolute social diectic information. The analysis finding presented in presentage as follows; person deixis 78,7% (as total of 607 deixis), place deixis 6,09% (as total of 47 deixis), time deixis 4,15% (as total of 32 deixis), social deixis 3,76% (as total of 29 deixis), discourse deixis 7,26% (as total of 56 deixis). Discourse analysis performs an approach of an analysis connected to the language pattern of a text used in the analysis, it requires linguistic competence. Thematic structure and Grammar are an important role in a sentence. In addition, the Thematic Structure which made up of two parts: Theme and Rheme, The researcher also selects conjunction, which is a component of English grammar. The research was done using the qualitative method. The purpose of this research is to understand and explain about kinds of Themes and Conjunction devices found in the song lyrics of the Album "Folklore" by Taylor Swift. The data was collected through research, reading, collecting, seeing and recording. In this research, the researcher took 10 song lyrics from the Album "Folklore" by Taylor Swift taken by purposive sampling. There are two results of the research, first, the researcher found 745 types of Theme which acquired from 10 song lyrics of the Album "Folklore" by Taylor Swift which were divided into 4 categories. The categories are Topical Theme has 436 occurrences (59%), Interpersonal Theme has 17 occurrences (2%), Textual Theme has 143 occurrences (19%) and Multiple Theme has 149 occurrences (20%). Second, the researcher can conclude that four types of conjunction devices are found in the song lyrics of the Album "Folklore" by Taylor Swift. The using conjunction device found in the song lyrics of the Album "Folklore" by Taylor Swift is 69 (46%) of additive, 28 (19%) adversative, 44 (30%) causal, and 7 (5%) temporal. Based on the results, the researcher found that the most common Theme and conjunctions found in the song lyrics in the Album "Folklore" by Taylor Swift are Topical Themes and Additives Conjunct.</p> <p>Ka<em>ta </em>Kunci<em>: </em>logical relations, song lyrics, Taylor Swift</p> Artika Riestiyaningtyas Mochamad Rizqi Adhi Pratama Copyright (c) 2022 Praniti: Jurnal Pendidikan, Bahasa, dan Sastra 2022-11-04 2022-11-04 2 3 166 172 DIKSI DAN GAYA BAHASA PADA LIRIK LAGU JEPANG DALAM PLAYLIST APLIKASI STREAMING MUSIK SPOTIFY “CITY POP ˈ80S” https://jurnal.unw.ac.id/index.php/praniti/article/view/1970 <p>Lirik lagu merupakan salah satu karya sastra sejenis puisi yang memiliki nilai estetika yang ditampilkan lewat penggunaan diksi dan gaya bahasa yang ada di dalamnya. Untuk menganalisis penggunaan diksi dan gaya bahasa pada teks sastra yang dalam hal ini adalah lirik lagu, teori yang digunakan adalah teori stilistika yaitu pendekatan untuk mengkaji pemakaian unsur-unsur bahasa lewat sudut pandang linguistik pada suatu karya sastra. Penelitian kualitatif deskriptif ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penggunaan diksi yang bermakna konotasi dan denotasi serta gaya bahasa pada lirik lagu Jepang pada media pemutar musik, <em>spotify </em>tepatnya yang terdapat dalam playlist “City Pop '80s” yang berisi lagu-lagu Jepang bergenre <em>City Pop</em> yang dirilis dan populer di era 1980-an. Tahap penelitian diawali dengan menentukan sumber data berupa delapan lirik lagu pilihan lewat teknik simak-catat kemudian dilanjutkan dengan tahap penyajian data dalam bentuk tabel data yang berisi diksi pada lirik lagu orisinal yang diasumsikan mengandung diksi dan gaya bahasa. Selanjutnya pada tahap analisis data dilakukan dengan cara mentranskip lirik lagu dan mengamati bagian dari lirik lagu tersebut, kata per kata, kalimat per kalimat, kemudian bait per bait yang mengandung diksi dan gaya bahasa sesuai dengan ciri-ciri, kategori dan jenisnya kemudian menginterpretasikan hasil temuan dari analisis data berdasarkan landasan teori tentang diksi dan gaya bahasa. Mahasiswa Sastra Cina, FIB UB sering kurang dapat menggunakan kata atau tata bahasa dalam percakapan sehari-hari. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara mahasiswa semester enam Sastra Cina, FIB UB dengan menggunakan metode presentasi. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas <em>(Classroom Action Research)</em> dengan menggunakan <em>pre-test</em>, <em>post-test</em>, serta pembagian kuisioner. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode presentasi dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara mahasiswa Sastra Cina, FIB UB semester enam (kelas A) yang berjumlah 26 orang. The purpose of the study is to explain the translation techniques and to determine the most dominant translation technique used in translating monologue in <em>Love, Simon</em> movie. This study is classified into descriptive qualitative research. In the study, the writer collectted and analyzed the data to get a conclusion. The data were gained by watching the movie, documenting the script, selecting, identifying, classifying, counting, and conclusion. The writer used the translation techniques introduced by Molina and Albir (2002) to analyze and classify the data. There are 12 techniques found in 225 data. They are adaptation, amplification, borrowing, calque, compensation, established equivalent, generalization, linguistic compression, literal, modulation, reduction, and variation.
