This research analyzes the novel entitled <em>Breaking Dawn </em>by Stephenie Meyer. This novel tells the story of a human who falls in love with a vampire.Bella Swan as the female main character in the novel <em>Breaking Dawn </em>finally married Edward Cullen (Vampire) and then becomes pregnant and has a daughter.The purpose of this research is to analyze the main character in the novel<em>Breaking Dawn.</em>This research method uses descriptive qualitative methods because the data is not numeral but in thefrom of words and sentences. The data of the research is focused on the main characters of the <em>Breaking Dawn</em>Novel.The researcher first read the novel <em>Breaking Dawn </em>for several times to get information about the main charactersof the <em>Breaking Dawn </em>novel. Then the researcher collected the data and analyzed them. This research aims to analyze the translation technique of English to Indonesian subtitles in the movie entitled Luca. The theory used in the study was by Molina &amp; Albir (2002) to collect and analyze the data, while the method used in this study was a descriptive qualitative method. The total numbers found 534 and the percentage of each technique are, literal translation occurs 133 times (25%), reduction occurs 75 times (14%), generalization occurs 64 times (12%), established equivalent occurs 46 times (8,61%), linguistic compression occurs 38 times (7,12%), adaptation occurs 34 times (6,37%), modulation occurs 31 times (5,81%), transposition occurs 27 times (5,06%), particularization occurs 22 times (4,12%), borrowing occurs 20 times (3,75%), discursive creation occurs 15 times (2,81%), compensation occurs 12 times (2,25%), variation occurs 7 times (1,31%), linguistic amplification occurs 6 times (1,12%), and amplification occurs 4 times (0,75%). The title of this paper is The Comaprison Of Main Character And Plot In The <em>Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs (1937) </em>And <em>Snow White And The Huntsman (2012) </em>Movie (Comparative Literature Approach). The purpose of the study is to describe the similarities and differences in the storyline and the representation of the main characters in both movies. The method used is Descriptive Qualitative with a comparative literature theory approach. This research aims analyze the translation techniques of English to Indonesian subtitles in the movie The Little Mermaid. Theory used in the study was by Molina &amp; Albir (2002) to collect and analyze the data, while the method used in this study was a descriptive qualitative method. The total numbers found 1351 and the percentage of each technique are, literal translation occurs 1061 times (78,53%), reduction occurs 5 times (0,37%), generalization occurs 4 times (0,30%), linguistic compression occurs 69 times (5,11%), adaptation occurs 21 times (1,55%), modulation occurs 74 times (5,48%), transposition occurs 2 times (0,15%), borrowing occurs 58 times (4,29%), compensation occurs 1 times (0,07%), linguistic amplification occurs 7 times (0,52%), calque occurs 8 times (0,59%), Equivalent occurs 25 times (1,85%), Equivalent to Specified occurs 1 times (0,07%), Information occurs 2 times (0,15%), and amplification occurs 13 times (0,96%). The most dominant translation technique found in the movie The Little Mermaid is literal translation.
